Programme Overview
The M.A. in Urdu course covers every aspect of literature — from the history of Urdu literature and classic texts to modern writers; from prose and poetry to novels, short stories, criticism, research methodology, and grammar.
Special importance is given to the Urdu language and literature and its development through the phases of history. The syllabus is divided into four semesters.
The programme provides career opportunities for candidates in Urdu-knowing business communities and in teaching, media, translation, and related fields.

Eligibility: B.A. from any recognized university with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate and should have studied English as one of the optional subjects at the undergraduate level
