The paper will be in two Sections, A and B. Section A carries 30 MCQ's on English language and comprehension, mental aptitude, research and problem-solving aptitude. Section A is common for all subjects. Section B will be subject specific. Section B for language papers will be subject specific subjective type questions with candidates requiring to answer five questions of 4 marks each. There is no choice and negative marking.

A candidate will be declared as eliqible in the entrance test to pass on to Stage 2 only if he / she secures a minimum of 20 marks overall and a minimum of 8 marks in Part B (Subject Specific).

Marking criteria for lnterview
The candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Test, as well as those exempted from Entrance Test as provided for above, shall appear before an lnterview Panel of the concerned Department. This will be assessed on 50 marks as per the criteria given below. A candidate will have to score a minimum of 30 marks to be declared eligible for inclusion in the merit list.
