Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi assumed the office of the Vice Chancellor Khaja Bandanawaz University in June 2022. Since the first day of his work he has impressed upon each person his agenda of Progress, Academic Excellence and Hard Work. And that is the stamp of this young and dynamic Vice Chancellor who is driven by the passion to succeed in the aim of making the Khaja Bandanawaz University a name amongst Academic Institutions of the Country and abroad. Working alongside the dynamic Pro Chancellor Janab Syed Ali Al Hussaini and guided by the vision, foresight and wisdom of our visionary Honourable Chancellor, His Excellency Janab Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini sahib, the Road map now appears to be set for a great future for the University under his stewardship.
Prof Ali Raza Moosvi has academic and administrative experience of two decades spread over three Central Universities. He has served as Controller of Examinations and as Registrar (i/c) at the Central University of Karnataka and as the Registrar and as Pro Vice Chancellor at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Apart from these positions, he has served as a member of many UGC and MHRD (now MoE) committees and as a member of the Academic Council and Executive Councils of Central Universities.
Prof Ali Raza Moosvi is an upright and honest officer with a strong commitment to the integrity of persons and institutions. He has left the stamp of his integrity and scrupulous honesty in every place that he has been associated with.
An alumni of Osmania University, Hyderabad, Prof. Moosvi was awarded his Ph.D. from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and was a Pavate Fellow at the Sidney Sussex College at the University of Cambridge. He has fourteen research publications to his credit, four edited books and two books authored by him.
His professional interests include Higher Education Administration and issues of Governance and planning in Universities. Academically, he is a Geographer with research interests in Natural Resource Management, sociological and ideological effects in the man-environment relationship and the interface of Geography with other disciplines.
He was serving as the Dean, School of Earth Sciences and Professor of Geography at the Central University of Karnataka before assuming the position of Vice Chancellor at the Khaja Bandanawaz University.
