“Yuvotsava” 39th AIU Inter University South-West Zone Youth Festival - 2026

The YUVOTSAVA” 39TH AIU INTER UNIVERSITY SOUTH-WEST ZONE YOUTH FESTIVAL – 2026, from 9th February to 13th February 2026, hosted by JSSAcademy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru as part of YUVOTSAVA, was a grand celebration of youth talent, cultural diversity, and intellectual discourse. The five-day festival brought together students from various universities across India, fostering a spirit of unity, creativity, and academic excellence


Syed Arfath, Asst Prof, Dept of Civil Engineering, FOET and Dr Milan Bishnoi, Asst Prof Dept of Hindi were the team Managers.

 

Medical Students namely, Afroz Munavalli, Faiz Shabeer, AdityaTirupati H, RamyaShetty, Harshita M B, Aditi Raju, Keerthana, Vijay Kumar N S, Harikrishna Panchal, Manisha, Devyaniraje, Sejal Patil, Spoorti Basnaker, Suma Joteppa, SiddharthBasavaraj N, Arun S Mulawad, Ravichandrq B T, Srushti Keshwar, Pooja Hadimani, Sachetgouda S. M, Samarth Hatti, Premkumar, Karunasagar Golasar, Mahesh, Faisal Ansari, Abdullah Najeeb, Abu Bakar Imran, Mohammed Saquib Khan, Saima Ismath, Soujanya Pani participated.

 

Day 1(9-02-2026): DSW and Team Managers’ Meet, Cultural Procession, and Inauguration

The festival commenced with a formal meeting of the Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) and team managers from participating universities. This session focused on discussing event logistics, expectations, and fostering collaboration. The highlight of the day was a vibrant cultural procession, where students showcased their regional heritage through traditional attire, music, and performances. The inauguration ceremony followed, marking the official commencement of “YUVOTSAVA2026”.



Day 2 :-(10-02-2026)

The One Act Play was presented by Afroz and his team with great enthusiasm, highlighting teamwork and dramatic expression.


Poster Making by Harshita M.B displayed creativity and effective visual communication. Ramya created an impressive collage, demonstrating artistic imagination and thoughtful composition.


In the Elocution (English) competition, Faiz Shabeer delivered a confident and engaging speech.


The Vaad-Viwaad (Hindi) debate was presented by Abu Bakar Imran and Afroz Munavalli, who expressed their viewpoints effectively and showcased strong debating skills.


The event concluded with a Creative Choreography performance by AditiRaju, Devyaniraje, Harikrishna, Keerthana, Pooja Hadimani, SachetgoudaShyam, Samarth, Sejal, Spoorthi, Srushti, and Suma. Their synchronized movements and expressive performance made the presentation lively and memorable.


Overall, the activities provided a wonderful platform for students to display their creativity, confidence, and collaborative spirit.



Day 3 :-(11-02-2026)

Various creative and literary activities were organized to provide students with opportunities to express their talents.


Clay Modelling by Soujanya Pani showcased creativity and skill in shaping artistic forms.


On Spot Painting: Saima Ismath participated in On Spot Painting, presenting an impressive artwork that reflected imagination and color harmony.


In the Debate (English) competition, Aditya Tirupti H. and Karunasagar Golasar presented their arguments confidently, demonstrating strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Mime performance: The program also featured a Mime performance by Devyaniraje, Harshita, RamyaShetty, Sejal Patil, Spoorti Basnaker, and Suma Joteppa, who captivated the audience through expressive actions and coordination without the use of words.


Overall, the activities provided a wonderful platform for students to display their creativity, confidence, and collaborative spirit.



Day 4:-(12-02-2026)

A variety of cultural and intellectual activities were conducted to encourage student participation and creativity.


Skits: A Skits performance was presented by Afroz Munavalli, Manisha, S.S. Mallanagoudar, Samarth Hatti, Srushti Keshwar, and Vijay Kumar, who entertained the audience with their expressive acting and teamwork.


Mahesh showcased artistic talent through a beautiful Rangoli design.


In the Quiz competition, Aditya Tirupti H. demonstrated good knowledge and quick thinking while answering the questions.


Folk Dance: The event concluded with an energetic Folk Dance performance by Devyaniraje, Faisal, Harikrishna, Harshita, Keerthana, Pooja, Prem Kumar, Sachetgouda, Samarth, and Spoorti, which added vibrancy and cultural spirit to the program.


Overall, the activities provided a wonderful platform for students to display their talents and creativity.



Day 5:-(13-02-2026)

The Valedictory Function marked the successful conclusion of the event and was conducted with great enthusiasm and dignity. The program began with a short address highlighting the key activities and achievements of the event.


Following this, the Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to recognize and appreciate the outstanding performances of participants in various competitions. Winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes in the presence of distinguished guests.


As a mark of respect and gratitude, mementos were presented to the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean Academics, and the AIU Observer for their valuable presence, encouragement, and support throughout the event.


The function concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the dignitaries, organizers, participants, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the program
