The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, at KBN University, will be commemorating World Mental Health Day on 07/10/2024 from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall of the B.Ed/B.A. Building.
Day One of World Mental Health Day Celebrations commenced with two competitions - Essay writing competition for students and Essay writing competition for faculty members.
The topic for Student’s essay writing competition was “The importance of mental health education in shaping a balanced life” and the topic for Faculty's essay writing competition was “Work-life balance in academia: strategies to support mental well-being”.
20 students and 6 faculty members participated in the respective competitions. They belonged to various departments and faculties including Arts, Sciences, Commerce and Education.
Ms. Zainab, Assistant Professor, Department of English (Students) and Ms. Rabia, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology (Faculty Members) were the judges for the competitions.
These contests successfully aimed to harness the energy, creativity and initiatives of young minds, in promoting mental health literacy & wellbeing.
