Comprehensive Three-Week Induction Programme (June 2025) Empowers First-Year B.E. Students at Khaja Bandanawaz University
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi, successfully concluded a dynamic three-week Induction Programme for the B.E. 1st year students (2025–26 batch). Designed to ensure a smooth transition into academic life, the programme combined academic orientation, industrial exposure, personality development, wellness initiatives, and value-based sessions. From June 10 to June 30, 2025, the students were immersed in a thoughtfully planned schedule fostering confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging.
Below is a glimpse of the activities conducted from 23rd to 30th June (Day 11 to Day 16):
Day 11 – 23rd June 2025 | Sports Day
Students participated in indoor and outdoor games such as cricket, badminton, chess, and carrom. Faculty joined the fun, fostering a healthy and inclusive experience. The focus was on team building, fitness, and student engagement.
Day 12 – 24th June 2025 | Soft Skills & Universal Human Values
Sessions by Mr. Mujahid Irfan and Dr. Srinivas Kalaskar focused on developing communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Activities like role-plays, storytelling, and reflective exercises helped students internalize key life skills.
Day 13 – 25th June 2025 | Industrial Visit to GTTC, Kalaburagi
At the Government Tool Room and Training Centre, students observed 3D printing, robotic automation, and PLC systems. They interacted with industry experts and gained practical insights into current engineering practices.
Day 14 – 26th June 2025 | Narcotics and Drug Awareness Talk
Police Inspectors and Scientific Officers from FSL Gulbarga engaged students in a critical awareness session on the dangers of substance abuse. The talk emphasized prevention, legal consequences, and making informed life choices.
Day 15 – 27th June 2025 | Talk on Blood Donation & Personal Grooming
Dr. Zeenath Begum highlighted the life-saving role of blood donors, while Dr. Guru Prasad (Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences) spoke about hygiene and grooming habits, encouraging students to practice self-care and maintain confidence in personal presentation.
Day 16 – 30th June 2025 | Valedictory Function
The final day celebrated the successful completion of the induction programme. Attendees included:
