The Department of Mathematics hosted a webinar on 'Research Proposal and Fine Tuning of the Research Proposal' on 22 September 2024.
During the webinar, I covered several critical components of research proposal development:
1. Understanding the Research Proposal Structure: I emphasized the importance of a clear and concise structure, which typically includes an introduction, literature review, methodology, and expected outcomes.
2. Identifying Research Gaps: I discussed strategies for identifying gaps in existing literature, which is crucial for establishing the significance of the proposed research.
3. Methodology Selection: The choice of methodology can significantly influence the research outcomes. I provided insights into qualitative and quantitative methods, helping participants understand when to use each.
Fine-Tuning Proposals: I shared practical tips on refining proposals, including the importance of feedback from peers and mentors, and the iterative nature of proposal writing.
