The two-day International Conference on “Recent Trends in Languages and Literatures” was held on 8th and 9th April 2025 at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, India, under the PM-USHA Grant for Multidisciplinary Education and Research University (MERU).
Esteemed chief guests and resource persons include Dr. Eak Prasad Duwadi (Associate Professor, Kathmandu University, Nepal), Prof. Prakash Mahanwar (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, PAH Solapur University), Dr. Khaleel Ahmed Tamaandar (Canada), and Prof. Gautam Kambble (Director, School of Languages & Literatures, PAH Solapur University).
Recent trends in languages and literatures have embraced innovative themes, forms, and techniques, reflecting evolving societal dynamics. A notable highlight was the event releasing a souvenir featuring the paper *"Urdu mein Masnavi Zahaanat,"* showcasing the fusion of classical and contemporary literary expressions. These advancements contribute significantly to nation-building and fostering a healthy society by promoting inclusivity, critical thinking, and cultural dialogue. They also play a pivotal role in shaping the character of the new generation, instilling values of empathy and intellectual curiosity. Comparative literature, encompassing languages such as English, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit, holds immense importance in bridging linguistic and cultural divides, enriching global literary discourse while preserving indigenous heritage.
