The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Campus Cleaning Drive was organized on 11th August 2025 at the KBN University Campus, demonstrating the University’s dedication to promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility. The large-scale initiative witnessed active participation from more than 1000 students and over 300 faculty members, making it one of the most impactful drives held on campus.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Vice Chancellor Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ashfaq Ahmed, Registrar Mir Vilayat Ali, Dr. Zama Moosvi (Dean Academics), Dr. M.A. Baseer (IQAC Director), Dr. Guruprasad K.Y. (Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences), and Dr. Anup S. Desai (Dean of Student Welfare). Their presence and encouragement added great significance to the drive, motivating students and faculty to take ownership of their campus environment.
The program commenced with an address on the importance of cleanliness as a civic responsibility and as part of nation-building. Faculty members guided student volunteers, who were divided into groups to cover various parts of the campus — from classrooms, corridors, and lecture halls to hostels and open grounds. Equipped with cleaning tools, gloves, and collection bags, participants worked with great enthusiasm, focusing on sweeping, removing waste, and promoting waste segregation practices.
Beyond improving the physical appearance of the campus, the drive fostered a sense of unity, discipline, and social awareness among students. Faculty members and leaders worked alongside students, demonstrating KBNU’s culture of shared responsibility and community engagement.
The Campus Cleaning Drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan not only aligned KBNU with the national cleanliness movement but also reaffirmed the University’s mission of shaping responsible citizens committed to the welfare of society. The overwhelming participation and leadership involvement made the initiative a resounding success, leaving a lasting message: a clean campus builds a stronger, healthier future for all.
