National Education Day 2025

The Faculty of Education (B.Ed), KBN University, celebrated National Education Day on 10th and 11th November 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Faculty of Education, commemorating the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister. The programme aimed to inspire students to reflect on the foundational values of education, equity, and nation-building.


The event commenced with the formal inauguration in the presence of Prof. Syed Ashfaq Ahmed, Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, KBN University, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Prof. Ashfaq emphasized the enduring relevance of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s vision and highlighted how modern educators must uphold principles of accessibility, inclusivity, and quality in teaching. He explained the crucial role teachers play in shaping young minds and stressed that education must empower individuals to contribute meaningfully to society. He encouraged students to embrace innovation, critical thinking, and compassion as essential qualities of future educators. His thoughtful and motivational words deeply resonated with the gathering and set the tone for the two-day celebration.


A series of competitions were held on 10th November 2025, beginning with the Essay Writing Competition, based on themes such as Empowering Women through Education, NEP 2020 – An Echo of Azad’s Vision, and Elevating the Role of the Teacher. Winners were:

·         First Prize: Sujata (IV Sem)

·         Second Prize: Mohamedi Gohar (II Sem)

·         Third Prize: Nafees Begum (IV Sem)


The Painting Competition showcased students’ creativity through visual interpretations of Azad’s ideals. Winners:

·         First Prize: Noorjahan (IV Sem)

·         Second Prize: Asma Begum (IV Sem)

·         Third Prize: Priyanka Nadageri (II Sem)


The Inspirational Quotes Writing Competition encouraged students to reflect on Azad’s philosophy and craft motivational lines. Winners:

·         First Prize: Summaiya Anjum (IV Sem)

·         Second Prize: Asma Anjum (IV Sem)

·         Third Prize: Qairunissa Begum (II Sem)


The Reel Making Competition added a creative digital dimension, with students producing engaging reels on Education for All and educational reform. Winners:

·         First Prize: Fouzia Sultana (IV Sem)

·         Second Prize: Fatima Zohra (IV Sem)

·         Third Prize: Noorjahan (IV Sem)


On 11th November 2025, the prize distribution ceremony was conducted in the presence of dignitaries. Students were applauded for their participation and creativity.


The event successfully promoted academic expression, creativity, and educational awareness, aligning closely with KBN University’s mission to nurture competent, compassionate, and socially responsible educators.
