National Constitution Day, was celebrated at Khaja Bandanawaz University - Faculty of Medical Sciences on 26th November 2024.
It marks the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949 by the Constituent Assembly, and the day is observed to honor the historic significance of India's Constitution and the ideals it upholds.
At Faculty of Medical Sciences, the celebration was awe-inspiring. It commenced with a welcome address by a faculty followed by reading aloud of the ‘Preamble of the Constitution’in the gathering. This was a way to remind faculty and the students, the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that the Constitution stands for.The students were apprised that this day serves as an occasion to highlight fundamental rights and duties, and raise awareness about the Constitution's role in shaping modern India.
The faculty members acknowledged the importance of this day. This was followed by a speech competition among the medical undergraduate students, essay writing competition, and an e-poster presentation.
A quiz was also organized among the students, to assess their knowledge,attitude, and practices about the Indian constitution.
The program concluded with vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
