Khaja Bandanawaz University’s Participation at Career Counselling and Education Fair 2026

Khaja Bandanawaz University participated in The Hindu Education Plus Career Counselling & Education Fair 2026 on Saturday, 16th May 2026 at 9:30 AM at Doddappa Appa Sabha Mantapa, located within Sharnbasva University, Vidya Nagar, Kalaburagi.
The programme was specially organised for students who had cleared 2nd PUC as well as those currently studying 2nd PUC, with the aim of guiding them towards diverse career opportunities and helping them make informed academic and professional choices.
Dr Atiya Sultana, HOD & Asst Professor, Department of English and Dr Azmath, Asst professor, Department of Sociology represented the University. The staff of KBNU distributed the flyers and chocolates to the students. Many students visited the stall and got the information about the programmes offered by KBNU.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students belonging to different colleges and universities across the region. A free Career Guidance Handbook was also distributed to all participants after the programme, providing valuable information on higher education, competitive examinations, and emerging career opportunities.
The Chief Guest, Pandve Rahul Tukaram, IAS, Additional Commissioner, Department of School Education, Kalaburagi Division, delivered an inspiring address to the students. Sharing his own journey and experiences in clearing competitive examinations, he encouraged students to remain focused, determined, and confident in achieving their goals. He emphasized that today’s students have numerous career opportunities beyond the conventional fields of medicine and engineering.
The programme was further enriched by the motivational speech of Anil Kumar Bidave, Vice Chancellor of Sharnbasva University, Kalaburagi, who highlighted the importance of dedication, skill development, and continuous learning. Drawing from his own background as an engineer, he encouraged students to pursue careers based on passion and capability.
Shivakumar C Rajeshwar, Professor and Head of the Department of General Surgery at Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), also motivated the students through his inspiring life experiences and emphasized the value of perseverance and hard work in achieving success.
Other distinguished speakers included Sharanabasappa M Pappa, President, Kalyana Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Kalaburagi; Suresh Shetagar from Government Polytechnic Afzalpur CET Nodal Cell; Abdul Nasir Mauzam, Career Counsellor, CIGMA; and Santosh Patil, CA (ICAI). All the speakers delivered highly informative and motivational sessions, guiding students on career planning, professional courses, competitive exams, and future opportunities.
The event concluded on a highly positive note, leaving students inspired and better informed about the wide range of career paths available to them in today’s rapidly evolving educational and professional landscape.
