Khaja Bandanawaz University Launches Competitive Exam Coaching in Collaboration with Beacon IAS

Khaja Bandanawaz University, in collaboration with Beacon IAS, launched an initiative to orient and coach students for various competitive exams and for preparing them for government jobs. Entitled “A Gateway to Government Jobs”. The initiative is to to guide students towards public service careers. A kiosk related to the programme was inaugurated at the University Auditorium on Wednesday. The kiosk is placed from 25th to 27th Feb in the Faculty of Science building, ground floor for students and faculty.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi, Vice Chancellor of Khaja Bandanawaz University, who addressed students with an inspiring and motivational speech. Commending and congratulating Dr. Zama Moosvi, Dean of Academics and Dr. Abdul Baseer, Director IQAC for this initiative, he emphasized that universities play a crucial role in bringing social transformation and shaping the intellectual thinking of students.
Highlighting the importance of government employment, he stated that government jobs provide respect, security, and an opportunity to serve society and our country. He encouraged students to actively participate in competitive examinations, noting that successful candidates would become role models for their juniors and inspire future generations. He urged students to think broadly, work hard, and contribute towards nation-building, adding that migration is not the solution to challenges, while dedication and the right career choices strengthen individuals and society.
Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Ashfaq Ahmed stressed that choosing the right career has become increasingly challenging in today’s competitive environment. He remarked that the success of an university is directly linked to the success of its students. Emphasizing the importance of guidance, he described the programme as a valuable opportunity and appreciated the IQAC for organizing student-oriented initiatives.
Registrar Mir Vilayat Ali termed the initiative visionary and essential for achieving academic excellence. He noted that the university aims to nurture students into future nation builders, leaders, and achievers. He also expressed gratitude to Late Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini Saheb for his farsighted leadership and vision, which continues to inspire structured mentorship for students.
Dean Academics Dr. Zama Moosvi explained the registration procedures, selection process, course structure, duration, and schedules. She highlighted that government jobs represent not just employment but also service to the nation. Addressing the Gen Z generation who is swarmed with information from the Internet she described this initiative as “Right information at the Right time“ to all the students. She expressed that competitive examinations help students build meaningful careers while understanding the country’s administrative framework.
Mr. Iqbal Ali, Chief Advisor of Beacon IAS, encouraged students to pursue government careers through competitive exams, noting that participation from the region has traditionally been limited. He emphasized that government jobs offer stability, authority, and respectable salaries, while coaching programmes help enhance knowledge and confidence. He urged students to make use of the opportunity and aim high.
Mr. Asif Iqbal, Director of Beacon IAS, provided detailed information about various Central and State government competitive examinations for both PUC and degree holders. Describing UPSC as the “mother of all competitive exams,” he elaborated on the course structure and academic activities, including essay writing, documentary clubs, book reviews, workshops, leadership shadowing, literary clubs, campus newsroom initiatives, mock interviews, and student parliament sessions. He also interacted with students and answered their queries.
The programme began with a Naat recitation by Shakeeruddin. Dr. Mohd Abdul Basheer, Director of IQAC, welcomed the dignitaries and attendees, while Dr. Tehnan, Tutor from the Department of Forensic Medicine, anchored the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Syed Khusro, Assistant Registrar (Academics).
Faculty deans, heads of departments, assistant professors, and a large number of students attended the event held at the university auditorium.
On 26th February and 27th February students visited the kiosk and got information about the Crash Course. Many students registered themselves.
