KBN Molecular Biology Laboratory, KBN Teaching & General Hospital Achieves Prestigious NABL Accreditation for Viral Respiratory Pathogen Panel Testing
A Landmark Achievement for Healthcare in entire Central, North Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka Region
The KBN Molecular Biology Laboratory has achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a significant milestone that underscores the institution's commitment to excellence in molecular diagnostics and quality healthcare services.
The accreditation was officially granted on 20th June 2026 following a comprehensive NABL assessment conducted on 9th and 10th May 2026. The assessment rigorously evaluated the laboratory's Quality Management System, technical competence, infrastructure, personnel qualifications, equipment validation, quality assurance practices, and testing procedures in accordance with national and international standards.
This prestigious recognition establishes the Molecular Biology Laboratory as the only NABL-accredited laboratory in entire Central, North Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka (Hyderabad-Karnataka) region offering Viral Respiratory Pathogen Panel testing, providing advanced molecular diagnostic services to a large population across the region.
