Karnataka Rajyotsava Day Celebration

The Department of Kannada, Faculty of Languages, Khaja Bandanawaz University, celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava Day 2025 on 07th November 2025 to promote and popularize tradition and Culture of Karnataka. The objective of this celebration was to develop the knowledge about rich cultural History, Traditions, and Festivals of Karnataka. More than 50 students and 25 faculty members from Khaja Bandanawaz University participated in a series of competitions, such as Singing Competition, Essay Writing Competition and Quiz Competition. These competitions were designed to deepen their awareness about the History, Culture and Traditions of Karnataka. Following this series of activities, the Valedictory Ceremony of Karnataka Rajyotsava Day 2025 was held.


 The Chief Guest was Dr. Kiran Gajanur, Assistant Professor, Dept of Public Administration, Central University of Karnataka. The Guest of Honour was Prof. Syed Ashfaq Ahmed, Pro Vice Chancellor, Khaja Bandanawaz University, while the session was presided by Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean, Faculty of Languages, Khaja Bandanawaz University.


Guest Speeches : The Chief Guest, Dr. Kiran Gajanur, during his lecture, shed light on the historical journey of Karnataka State. This is a region which has a diversity in Languages, Culture and Traditions. Peoples belong to different Religions, Linguistics Background and Cultural Background are living peacefully in this region. during his speech sir highlighted one quote of Adi Kavi Pampa “Manusha Kulam Tanonde Valam” which means All human beings are one Caste that is Humanity.


Culturally this region has unity in diversity as this is the region where Sharanas, Sufis, Tatvapadas, Dasas, and many cults were living with peace and happiness in this region. And also, a land of Guru Sishya Parampara.


The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Sanganagouda, and Dr. Raja Patel Assistant Professor, Dept of Kannada, KBNU and Dr. Sameena Sindagikar, Coordinator, Dept of Sociology, KBNU and Dr. Aslam Walikar and Mr. Yogesh Rathod, Dept of History, KBNU played an active role in the organizing committee.


Dr. Sanganagouda expertly handled the stage coordination, Dr. Sameena Sindagikar handled anchoring. while Dr. Badrinath Kulkarni warmly welcomed the guests. Dr. Aslam Walikar Introduced Chief Guest and Mr. Yogesh Rathod announced winners of various Competition. Dr. Raja Patel expressed gratitude to all at the end with the vote-of-thanks.


The event saw the presence of around 150 attendees, and 11 winners from various competitions were honored.
