Indian Good Clinical Practices

A Workshop on “Indian Good Clinical Practices” was conducted for postgraduate students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, KBN University, after obtaining due permissions from the respected Registrar mam and Dean (FOMS), a circular was sent to the PG departments to relieve the 1st year and 2nd year postgraduates to attend the workshop.


This workshop was organized by the Dept. of Pharmacology, KBN University FOMS, on 4/03/2024, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the demonstration room of the Dept. of Pharmacology. Fifty-three post graduate students of FOMS, 4 participants from Faculty of Engineering and 4 participants from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities participated in the workshop. The list of all the participants is enclosed with this report. Also please find the agenda attached to this report


The speakers for the workshop were:

  1. Dr Gaurav Mathur: Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs & Regional Head Regulatory Operations India, Parexel International

  2. Mr. Nanjaraje Urs: CEO, Clinoquent Research Pvt Ltd.

  3. Dr. Zainab Ghazala: Associate Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology, KBN University- Faculty of Medical Sciences, Kalaburagi


The participants gained insights into the ethical aspects of clinical research by learning about the latest changes made in the ICH-GCP guidelines and they were made aware about the various aspects of national ethical guidelines for conduct of biomedical health research.

  

The participants were served lunch and tea during the workshop.

The valedictory function was attended by Dean (FOMS) Dr. Siddesh Sirwar and Deputy controller of examination Dr. M.A Baseer. The speakers were felicitated and certificates were distributed to all the participants. The workshop concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Zainab Ghazala.
