Inauguration of One Year Certificate Course in Hindi

On 15^th November 2025 the Department of Hindi, Faculty of Languages, Khaja Bandanawaz University, organised the inauguration of the One Year Certificate Course in Hindi—an academic initiative launched by the Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India. The programme aims to promote the learning of Hindi by offering accessible certification to students across the country. In line with this initiative, 30 students of KBN University have enrolled in the course, reflecting the growing interest in national language development.

The event opened with a warm welcome by Dr. Milan Bishnoi, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi. This was followed by a detailed introduction to the course by Dr. Deshmukh Afshan, Coordinator, Department of Hindi, who explained the admission process, syllabus components, and expected learning outcomes. She emphasised the significance of structured language training in improving academic and professional communication skills.

The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean, Faculty of Languages, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. She appreciated the efforts of the Department of Hindi and commended the enthusiasm of the enrolled students. Highlighting the increasing importance of linguistic proficiency, she encouraged students to make the best use of the government-provided study materials and the academic support offered by the university.

Following the formal proceedings, the study materials supplied by the Ministry of Higher Education were distributed to the students. The event was smoothly anchored by Ms. Naila (B.Sc III Semester) and Ms. Ayesha Anjum (B.A III Semester). A total of 65 participants, including 20 faculty members and 45 students, attended the ceremony, making it an enthusiastic and meaningful academic gathering.

The programme concluded with a shared sense of commitment toward enriching language education and strengthening students’ academic growth at KBN University.
