Hindi Pakhwada Programme – Week 1

The Faculty of Languages, Department of Hindi at KBN University successfully organized the first week of Rajbhasha Hindi Pakhwada 2025 from 01st to 06th September at the campus. The programme was presided over by Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean, Faculty of Languages, and coordinated by Dr. Deshmukh Afshan Begum and Dr. Milan Bishnoi, Department of Hindi.
The aim of the celebration was to promote the wider use of Hindi in academics and administration, instill pride in the national language, and encourage cultural unity.
The week featured a series of engaging competitions:
The Wall Magazine/Poster Competition (01 Sept), judged by Dr. Maimoona Saradgi and Ms. Zainab, showcased artistic and linguistic creativity.
The Word Marathon Competition (04 Sept), judged by Dr. Athiya Sultana and Dr. Sameena Sindagikar, tested vocabulary and fluency with participation from KBNU and nearby colleges.
The Debate Competition (04 Sept), judged by Dr. M.A. Mujeeb and Mr. Riyaz Pathan, examined the role of Hindi media in education and politics, encouraging critical analysis and articulation.
The Speech Competition (06 Sept), judged by Dr. Nagnath, focused on Hindi and National Unity, building confidence in public speaking.

The Faculty Speech Competition (01 Sept), judged by Dr. Shaikh Abdul Majid and Dr. Samad Saeed, addressed Advancement of Hindi Language with Modern Technology.
The Faculty Debate (06 Sept), judged by Dr. Nasir and Dr. Nagnath, explored whether English poses a challenge to Hindi.
A unique highlight was the One Minute Reel Competition (02 Sept), judged by Ms. Heena Jamadar, Media Coordinator, where students and faculty used digital storytelling to spread impactful Hindi messages.
In total, 350 participants — including students, faculty, and external guests from Bi Bi Raza Degree College, Godutai College, National Degree College, and the Central University of Karnataka — contributed to the programme’s success.
The Week 1 celebrations of Hindi Pakhwada, spearheaded by the Faculty of Languages and Department of Hindi, not only honored Hindi’s cultural and literary heritage but also demonstrated its modern relevance and power to unite diverse voices.
