Clinicopathological discussion was conducted by Department of Pathology & OBG in OBG Demo room, KBNTGH, Kalaburagi on 01/07/2026. Dr. Guruprasad K.Y, Dean, FOMS, KBN University, Kalaburagi was the chief guest.
Dr. Md Ibrahim Siddiqui, Professor & HOD and Dr. Mehvish Anjum Professor & HOD were the coordinators. Dr. Mandakini B. Tengli Professor and Dr Farhat Kazim, Assistant Professor were the moderators.
Dr. Shazia, 2nd Year Post Graduate of OBG, presented the Clinical aspects of the case, 25year female with history of Retained Products of conception.
Dr. Greeshma, 2nd Year Post Graduate of Pathology, presented the Pathological aspects of the case with gross & microscopic images and the final diagnosis.
Final Diagnosis: Features are suggestive of – Organising hematoma with bony transformation in the Retained products of partial molar pregnancy.
It was an interactive discussion on Retained Products of conception. Dr Mandakini mam & Dr Mehvish Mam shared their experience in diagnosing cases of Products of conception with the audience and discussed the importance of Histopathology is the gold standard for diagnosis & differentiation from PV bleeding following abortion.
Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Mandakini madam. The entire Teaching faculty, Post graduate students of Department of pathology& OBG were present.
This was followed by high tea.
