On 14 November 2025 the Department of Chemistry organised a heartfelt Children’s Day celebration at the Faculty of Science, bringing together B.Sc. I, M.Sc. I and M.Sc. III students for an afternoon of educational engagement and cultural joy. The programme opened with a brief welcome by Dr. Sunil Kumar B. Mane, who reflected on the importance of fostering curiosity and lifelong learning among students. Dr. Naghma Shaishta highlighted the role of experiential activities in developing scientific temper, encouraging students to explore ideas beyond textbooks. Faculty members Dr. Tilak Gasti and Mr. Ateeq Ahmed oversaw the academic activities and ensured smooth coordination of events.

Students enthusiastically participated in a range of activities: subject quizzes that tested conceptual understanding, model-making sessions that promoted hands-on problem solving, and poster presentations that showcased creativity and scientific communication. Cultural performances provided a spirited interlude, strengthening camaraderie and bringing warmth to the gathering. A ceremonial cake-cutting led by the coordinating faculty marked the celebratory close of the programme.

Outcomes of the event included improved student–faculty rapport, enhanced teamwork and communication skills among participants, and renewed motivation for academic and creative pursuits. The programme successfully integrated academic enrichment with cultural expression, reflecting KBN University’s commitment to holistic education and student development. The Department of Chemistry looks forward to continuing such initiatives that nurture curiosity, innovation and community engagement across cohorts.
