On June 14, 2024, the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FOMS), KBN University, hosted a celebration of International Yoga Day and a Yoga Training Programme in the Amphitheatre on the UNiversity campus. The event was led by the resource person, Shraddha S. Hale, who holds an MA in YogShatra and a Diploma in Yoga Education, as well as a Certificate Course in Female Menstrual Cycle Problems from Yog Vidya Gurukul, Nashik.
The session began with a performance of loosening exercises, Yogic sukshmavyayama, Yogic asanas, and breathing practices.
This was followed by the demonstration of asanas such as vajrasana, paad-hastasana, ardhashalabhasana, ardhabhujangasana, ardhakatichakrasana, and shavasana.
Participants were introduced to new asanas including pavanmuktasana, markatasana, ardha ustrasana, makarasana, and padmasana, which were demonstrated by the yoga teacher and practiced by the attendees.
The session concluded with breath observation and deep breathing practices.
