Awareness Programme on Digital Resources

The Dept of Law, Faculty of Law, Khaja Bandanawaz University (KBNU), organized an Awareness Programme on 3rd August 2026 to familiarize students with the need for and ease of using digital resources for legal education and research.
The program commenced at 11.00AM in Class Room, and further demonstration was made at Library and Staff Room for using DELNET.Dr. Praveen Nayakwelcomed and introduced resource person Dr. Syed Shah Ahmed Sarmast Asst. Librarian, KBNUto the students and highlighted the need and ease of using Digital Resources.
The resource person, Dr. Sarmast, informed the students about the various library facilities available at the University and highlighted the accessibility of digital resources for academic learning and legal research. He explained the different types of knowledge resources, including books, journals, and newspapers, and discussed their significance in legal education. He also emphasized the availability of these resources in digital formats and their usefulness in enhancing research skills and academic excellence.
During the interactive session, Dr. Sarmast shared the digital access credentials with the students and demonstrated how to access the resources using mobile phones as well as computers. He also explained the various features of the digital platform, enabling students to make effective use of online legal databases, e-books, and academic journals.
The programme aimed to encourage students to effectively utilize the digital facilities available in the Department of Law. The session highlighted the importance of accessing e-books, online legal databases, e-journals, digital libraries, and other academic resources for enhancing legal knowledge, research skills, and academic performance.
Students were also guided on the simple and efficient use of these digital platforms, enabling them to access reliable legal information anytime and from anywhere. The resource person emphasized that effective use of digital resources would strengthen students' legal research, classroom learning, and overall professional development.
The programme was well received by the students, who actively participated in the demonstration and appreciated the initiative. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the Department's commitment to promoting digital literacy and technology-enabled legal education.
