A special lecture was organised by Department of Biochemistry, KBNU-FOMS on 23.04.2026, 12:00 pm – 02.00 pm at Anatomy demo room lecture Hall, FOMS-KBNU. About 150 students participated in the event.

 

The programme started by listening to the divine words from Holy Quran.

 

Dr Ramlinga Reddy sir, Assistant professor in the dept of Biochemistry . YIMS, Yadgir was speaker for the Special lecture conducted by Dept of Biochemistry FOMS- KBNU

 

Dr Ramlinga Reddy sir has done NABL certificate course, Fellow in lean six sigma green belt of QMS by UK, C-ECLS course. He has to his credits 20 papers and posters in various conferences. He has published articles in about 20 national & international journals. He has received the prestigious Thomas edison award   in 2014. He was a guest speaker in various cme, workshop related to diagnostic labs, nabl training. He is recognized instructor for RGUHS jeevaraksha ECLS course

 

He has faced 6 times external audit by NABL and conducted internal audits to various diagnostic labs…

 

Then the lecture was started by Dr. Ramlinga Reddy on the topic PURINE METABOLISM: FROM MOLECULAR PATHWAYS TO METABOLIC DISORDERS.

 

Dr Ramlinga Reddy delivered an insightful and thought-provoking lecture on the topic explained the students regarding purine metabolism, its clinical correlation which made the students very easy to understand such a difficult topic.

 

His lecture was backed by the most up-to-date research and case studies, enlightened about the gout making it highly informative for all attendees.

 

After the Following the lecture. there was a healthy discussion on the topic between speaker and the students.

 

Then the programme continued with a welcome speech by our Prof &HOD, Dept of Biochemistry, Dr Saba Nazneen Khan in the presence of pro vice chancellor, dean academics, IQAC Director and Dean FOMS-KBNU.

 

The guest of honour Prof Syed Ashfaq Ahmed sir was felicitated by Dr. Sharif ahmedbaig.

The Dean Academics Dr. Zama Moosvi mam was felicitated by Dr. Saba Nazneen Khan.

The COE (I/C) and IQAC Director Dr abdul Baseer was felicitated by Dr. Hafsa.

The Dean FOMS-KBNU, Dr Guruprasad K Y was felicitated by Dr. Sadiya Afreen.

The SPEAKER was felicitated by all the dignitaries.

 

Dr. Guruprasad K Y, the Dean of FOMS, KBNU. Addressed the gathering, as a respected figure in the academic and medical community, his presence provided a strong foundation for the lecture.

 

Dr. M A Baseer, COE (i/c) & IQAC Director graced the event with his presence, highlighting the institutional importance and support for the subject matter.

 

Dr Zama Moosvi, Dean Academics, KBNU addressed the gathering with her warm words, enlightening the importance of health for students which helps them study and perform better.

Prof Syed Ashfaq ahmed, Honourable Pro Vice Chancellor KBNU, was the Guest of Honour. He addressed the students, His presence added prestige to the lecture and reflected the importance of addressing guest lecture.

 

The programme concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr.Sharif Ahmed Baig, Professor, Department of Biochemistry and followed by refreshments in the department.
