3rd Annual Sports and Cultural Fest 2025 (Day-1)

Khaja Bandanawaz University, 10th October 2025: The 3rd Annual Sports and Cultural Fest 2025–26 commenced with a focus on artistic expression and cultural appreciation, bringing together students to celebrate creativity and innovation. The first day featured three prominent competitions: Painting, Mehendi, and Rangoli, each designed to encourage students’ artistic talents, teamwork, and cultural awareness.
The Painting Competition began at 2:00 PM in the serene Open Amphitheater, with 36 students participating under the theme “Cultural Heritage of India.” The event was judged by Mr. Shaikh Ahsan, a nationally and internationally acclaimed calligraphy artist and owner of Ahsan Design Studio, who praised the students for their originality and skill.
At 3:30 PM, the Mehendi Competition took place in the FoMS Demo Room, featuring 41 participants creating stunning designs inspired by the theme “Indo-Arabic Fusion.” Dr. Milan Kamble, Assistant Professor at Government Degree College (Autonomous), Kalaburagi, evaluated the entries and commended the students for their intricate and imaginative artistry.
The day concluded with the Rangoli Competition at 5:00 PM in the FoMS Anatomy Demo Room. 13 students participated, using vibrant colors to convey the powerful theme of “Drug-Free Nation.” The competition was judged by Mrs. Ashadevi Palla, a certified Rangoli artist from Kalaburagi, who appreciated the participants’ creativity and message-driven designs.
With over 90 participants, the competitions successfully fostered a sense of cultural pride, aesthetic sensibility, and teamwork among students. The active involvement of faculty ensured smooth organization and coordination, marking an inspiring and engaging start to the week-long Fest.
