Department of Computer Science & Engineering started in the year 1987 with an intake of 60 students and presently it has an intake of 120. Department aims to impart quality technical education in computer science and engineering by outstanding teaching, innovative curricula and research experience that enables students to become technically competent meeting the challenging needs of industry and society. Research center of department started in the year 2017.   With good infrastructure, well equipped labs and well qualified, dedicated faculties, our department provides advancement of knowledge in both fundamental and applied domains.

 

VGST Grant

Department has received VGST research grant for the Financial Year 2017-18, approved by the Government of Karnataka under following categories

1. KFIST Level (1) Grant of Rs 20 lakh/- for the work  "Vehicle to vehicle authentication technique for secure data transmission”.​

2. ARP of Rs 25K/- for the work “Interactive Image Segmentation by Dynamic Region growing”

​
