ANNUAL SPORTS AND CULTURAL FEST 2023

The Fourth-Day of the Sports and Cultural Fest of the Khaja Bandanawaz University was started with Inter-faculty matches among the students.
The faculties were divided into four teams:
· Team A-Faculty of Medical Sciences (FOMS)
· Team B-Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FOET)
· Team C- Faculty of Sciences (FOS)
· Team D- Faculty of Faculty of Languages, Arts Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Commerce, and Education (FOALHSSL/ed)

The most awaited day, the fifth day of the Sports and Cultural Fest of Khaja Bandanawaz University was welcomed by hall-packed audience. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation as various events and activities continued to unfold, captivating the participants and audience alike. The day started with singing competition (Solo and Group), held at the Auditorium of the university at 2:00 p.m., aimed to provide a platform for budding singers to showcase their vocal abilities and passion for music. The competition drew participants from various academic disciplines of Khaja Bandanawaz University, highlighting the diverse talent pool within the students’ community. The panel of judges comprised esteemed faculty members were Dr. Syed Abrar (FOSc), Dr. Athiya Sultana (FOALHSSL/ed), Prof. Umera Banu (FOET) and Dr. Shilpa Pradhan (FOMS). The judgesfaced the challenging task of evaluating the vibrant and captivating performances.Criteria such as vocal technique, stage presence, and overall artistic expression were considered in determining the winners.Amidst the tough competition of Solo Song, Maaz Khan (Team B) secured the first position whereas Ehsan (Team D) grabbed the second position with their melodious voices. Likewise, in Group Song Competition, Adil and Mahima from Team A got the first position whereas Alfiya and Group from Team B were the runners-up.
Next in line was Dance competition (Solo and Group), held at the same venue at 5:00 p.m., was a dynamic and vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and passion for dance within the participants and spectators.The event aimed to provide a platform for students to express themselves through various dance forms, ranging from classical to contemporary styles.The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation of students from all the faculties of KBNU including MedicalSciences, Engineering, Languages, Commerce, Arts and Humanities, Sciences and others, each bringing their unique flair to the stage.The panel of judges were comprised of Dr. Shireen Tabassum (FOET), Dr. Sameena (FOALHSSL/ed), Dr. Zeenath Begum (FOMS) and Dr. Naghma Shaista (FOSc). In the Solo dance competition, Visheutha from Team A got the first position through her thrilled performance whereas Hameed from Team B secured the second position. On the other hand, in the Group Dance Competition, Team B won the attention of the judges and grabbed the first position whereas Team A got the second position with astonishing performance.
The audience, comprised of fellow students, faculty, and staff, responded energetically to the mesmerizing performances of the participants which marked the end of the exciting day.
