The closing ceremony of the Sports and Cultural Fest, held at the Sports Ground of Khaja Bandanawaz University on 21.12.2023 was a mesmerizing spectacle that not only marked the end of an unforgettable week but also left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of everyone in attendance. It marked the symphony of diverse talents, and it commenced with a soul-stirring Qirat, setting the tone for an evening filled with gratitude, celebration, and reflection. The eloquent recitation from the Holy Quran, recited by Syed Mahmood Hussain created an atmosphere of serenity and mindfulness.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guests-Honourable Pro-Chancellor KBNU Janab Syed Muhammad Ali Al Hussaini Saheb, Honourable Vice-ChancellorKBNU Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi, General Secretary KES Prof. A.M Pathan, Registrar i/c KBNU Dr. Ruksar Fatima, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Syed Nazeer Ahmed, Professor and HOD i/c Dept. of Microbiology Dr. Bilal Ahmed Mir, Director IQAC KBNU Dr. Mohammed Abdul Baseer, Dean FOMS- KBNU Dr. Siddesh Sirwar, Dean FOLAHSSLSCEd KBNU Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean FOET-KBNU Dr. S.K. Azam and Dean Research Dr. Rajshree Palladi. The ceremony proceeded with the felicitation of respected dignitaries of KBNU who had graced the fest with their presence. Their contribution to the event was acknowledged with heartfelt appreciation, underlining the importance of collaborative support in fostering a vibrant university culture.
The most awaited moment of the Fest was to grab the rolling shield which was presented by the Honourable Pro Chancellor Janab Syed Muhammad Ali Al Hussaini Saheb to the Faculty of Medical Sciences. This was followed by the address to the gathering by Pro Chancellor in which he appreciated all the participantsof the Sports and Cultural Fest. He particularly stressed on the all-round development of the students by actively participating in academics, sports and cultural events. He congratulated to all the students, organizing committee members and faculties on behalf of His Excellency Chancellor, His Holiness Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini Saheb.
The highlight of the evening was the eagerly anticipated prize distribution, where the culmination of talent and effort was recognized and celebrated. Students who had excelled in various cultural competitions and sports events were presented with awards, certificates, and trophies, symbolizing not only their individual achievements but also the collective spirit of the students and faculties of Khaja Bandanawaz University.
The Honourable Vice-Chancellor, in his address, shared words of inspiration, acknowledging the significance of such events in shaping the holistic development of students. He commended the participants for their dedication, resilience, and sportsmanship, emphasizing the importance of cultural and sports activities in nurturing all round development of individuals. The VC emphasized on building the “atmosphere of happiness, competition and togetherness” among the students of all the faculties. He also mentioned the amalgamation of all the faculties into one identity for the progress of the Khaja Bandanawaz University.
Mr. Nagendra of Syed Akbar Hussaini School was felicitated by the VC for his unwavering support and contribution in the fest. The Annual Closing Ceremony was concluded by the vote of thanks by Dr. Bilal Ahmed Mir who wholeheartedly thanked all the members associated with Sports and Cultural Fest followed by group photographs.
