A Board of studies meeting was conducted at Dept of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medical Sciences on 11/07/2024 under the guidance of, Dr. Mirza Sharif Ahmed Baig,Professor and Head,Dept of Biochemistry, FOMS,KBNU

Board of studies meeting was planned by Dr. Mirza Sharif Ahmed Baig,Professor and Head ,Dept of Biochemistry, FOMS,KBNU and executed by Dr. Saba Nazneen Khan Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medical Sciences, KBNU and Dr Nagaraj , Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medical Sciences, KBNU

1. Inclusion of questions on AETCOM and OSPE in theory & practical examination as per NMC 2023 guidelines

3. Allotment of the weightage to the modules of biochemistry of theory examination

1. Inclusion of questions on AETCOM and OSPE in theory & practical examination as per NMC 2023 guidelines

2. Updating and approval of panel of examiners and evaluators

3. Allotment of weightage of marks to the modules of biochemistry examination paper 4.

Discussion on agenda

1. Inclusion of questions on AETCOM and OSPE in theory & practical examination as per NMC 2023 guidelines.

OSPE can be implemented in the practical examination for 15marks, AETCOM component also included in the practical examination in the form of scenarios carrying 5marks and AETCOM Questioncan be added of maximum 5 marks each in Paper 1 or Paper 2 theory exam as per Competency Based Medical Education Curriculum (CBME) Guidelines- National  Medical Commission Dated 01stAugust,2023.

Dr Girish Desai, member of BOS, suggested to arrange three stations - one performance station and two response stations for OSPE component each carrying 5 marks.

2. Updating the panel of examiners and valuators

Panel of examiners list was thoroughly examined by all the members. few examiners were suggested by Dr. Girish Desai and Dr Saher Ansari, members of BOS, which was included in the list of panels and finalized.

3.Allotment of weightage of marks to the modules of biochemistry examination papers

Dr Moin Sabeer, Dr Mandikini G Tengli, Dr Satish Kumar D, members of BOS, have gave their suggestions upon the marks distribution for different modules for biochemistry examination paper.

The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Saba Nazneen Khan.
