Programme Overview

Under the Faculty of Languages the Khaja Bandanawaz University has two well established Departments of English and Urdu and students have the opportunity of doing PG and Doctoral research in the discipline that they choose.

The Department of English is a well established one with a reputation of excellent standards and discipline built up over the past ten years.

The student strength is optimum and many are turned away disappointed. The students have regularly secured Ranks and distinction in English.

Now under the Khaja Bandanawaz University the Department has added to its distinctive quality through a versatile and rich selection of Courses designed in consultation with the best subject experts invited for the purpose.

With an inspired vision , the Khaja Bandanawaz University has gone ahead and introduced a modern international Course in M.A. English with a blend of pure Literature, Classic and Modern texts, History of Literature Modern LiteraryTheory , Critical Studies, Cultural and Gender theories, Novel, Prose and Poetry.

European Literature and Thought , French and German Philosophers are also studied for their influence on English writers.

In M.A.Urdu the Course covers every aspect of Literature from History and Classic texts to Modern writers. From Prose , Poetry to Novels, Short stories and Criticism.
